At Lidget Compton we think we offer the most comprehensive range of product in the UK today. If you cant see what you want within our standard range, we can probably make the building you want. We haven’t been beaten yet!
Choose Your Garage Style
Although our range is possibly the most comprehensive in the UK, it is easy to choose your building.
Choosing a new concrete garage can be a daunting task. Investing in a new concrete garage is a significant undertaking and not a decision to be taken lightly. So to help with the decision making process we have produced this useful infographic. This piece covers all the main areas you should consider when looking at the purchase of a sectional concrete building, such as:
What will the garage be used for?
How much space do you have available for the garage?
The kind of budget you have available.
What shape of building do you prefer?
The first stage of the garage buying process is to choose from the 6 basic SHAPES we have available. 6 shapes, but endless design possibilities. Our options range means that you can personalise the building to your requirements.

Pent
Flat roof sloping gently from front to back

Pent Mansard
Elevated front profile roof

Apex
Traditionally shaped pitch roof

Apex 15
Pitched roof with bold roll tile effect roof sheets

Apex 20
Fully lined pitched roof with pantile profile tile effect roof sheets

Apex 90
Unique transverse pitched roof
Then you need to consider the aesthetics of the building:
How you want the overall building to look?
What kind of wall finish will on your garage look good on your property?
What kind of doors and windows will your garage need?
Do you need extra’s inside the garage like shelf stacks or partition walls?
All the considerations involved when looking into choosing a new concrete garage are covered here. However, if you have any questions about anything here or about what building would best suit your requirements you can always contact our sales team. Alternatively you can request a copy of our latest product guide and price list.
Within the main garage shapes there are a wide range of different garage styles such as double garages, lean-to’s, garden rooms, battery garages and commercial buildings. View our full range of garages to find out more.
Choose Your Garage Size
Having surveyed your garden, select the width and length of the building you want. The size of garage you choose really depends on how much space you have available and what you intend to use the garage for.
Our garages start at 8’6″ (2.59m) wide and 16’3″ (4.95m) long (other sizes are available via our bespoke Design&Build service). If you intend to use your new garage for a car we would recommend a minimum size of 9’6″ (2.89m) x 16’3″ (4.95m) but this would depend on how big your car is. A 9’6″ (2.89m) wide garage would come with an 8′ wide door so measure the width of your car including wing mirrors (if they don’t fold closed) to ensure your car will fit.
You can get an accurate quote based on the size you require in our Get A Quote section. We also have a handy Building Size Guide available where you can find out more about the size of our garages and sheds.

Lidget Compton Tip
Surveys show that most people would have a larger building than they originally specified once its installed – a wider and/or longer building costs less if chosen when you first select – although possible to extend buildings later is possible, but much more expensive.
